I tried everything and nothing worked. I would do personal training work outs, run at the gym, beach body. I ate great during the week, terrible on the weekends (weekend warrior). Thought I could’t ever lose weight due to hypothyroidism, never ate carbs because my endocrinologist told me it would help with weight lose. I even tried Noom the psychology diet.

Always loosing weigh in general for me, portions portions portions- Wow never knew my olive oil intake was super fatty on my "healthy salads" haha Keeping the weight off is always a struggle for me. Consistency, once I started to binge I told myself well might as well enjoy and start over tomorrow but then tomorrow would come and I would make some excuse as to why I couldn’t start - stress, anxiety, kids not listening, etc. Now, I forgive myself and as Kelly says do the next right thing.
AFTER COUNTING MACROS WITH KELLY:
Overall I feel so much better. I’m not bloated, my confidence has increased significantly, my mental state has improved. I found a love for exercising and eating foods that make me feel amazing. I’ve lost 11 pounds but I think my non scale victories are more significant. Every part of my body is tighter and smoother. My muscles are starting to show and my clothes are much more comfortable. I have battled depression since having kids and my weight increasing to more than 20 pounds made every aspect of my life almost unbearable. Everything was harder - daily chores, work, caring for my kids, focusing mentally, the list goes on and on. Now I love myself so much more, I am making myself a priority. Exercising 6 days a week, tracking my food and pre tracking when I know I may be tempted. I am so happy I could cry. I still have about 10 pounds I would like to lose but I know with what I have learned I’ll reach that goal in no time at all.

Wanting but not committing to a plan, not knowing how to start, not consistently working out, eating whatever is fast and easy because we were busy and hungry.

My proudest victory is sticking to HR 12 week program! Just wrapping up W8 and I’ve been doing full burpees, adding more weight to my reps, and pushing myself! I’m proud of sticking to this plan and will continue it! Another victory is meal planning!

Portion sizing was difficult, knowing what to order/make was hard, and being confident in the tradeoffs I was making with food.

I am MUCH better at making choices at the grocery store and restaurants. I don't feel bad for eating food that isn't so healthy and understand where I should make tradeoffs. I also feel WAY better about myself and the way I look. The scale no longer scares me!

Thought I was eating healthy and never measured anything. I never realized the extra calories I was eating by not counting macros. I am an emotional eater and would eat only to make myself feel terrible later on about it. Counting macros has changed my mindset completely.
AFTER COUNTING MACROS WITH KELLY:
My clothes fit better- I do not feel so bloated. I even had to go to the last hook on my bra (not that I wanted to lose there but I could tell the difference.) I now have a better relationship with food and know that food is food- no good or bad food. I know to add protein to make me feel full longer and I have found new foods that I love. I realized the scale is just data. I probably did not work out as much as I should have but I feel like I needed to get a grip on my diet. With summer here I will have more time to concentrate on strength training. My hopes is that with my new found success with macro counting and the strength training, I will continue to lose weight, tone up and continue to get those lovely compliments from my husband - like “you’re looking really sexy!” That was just a little embarrassing to write. I also ordered a two piece bathing suit - where my stomach will be seen- for the first time EVER! So I guess my confidence is up too. I know I have a ways to go and will have bad days - but they aren’t the end all be all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!

I have always worked out, but am in menopause and have struggled over the past 5 years to lose more than about 5 pounds. I started eating clean in January and lost 13 pounds by the end of March, but once the shred came along I realized I had too many carbs and fat in what I was eating and needed to add more calories and protein.
AFTER COUNTING MACROS WITH KELLY:
I was finally able to lose the weight I wanted and feel so much better about myself again. I no longer hate being in pictures, and have a whole new wardrobe of items that didn't fit for a very long time! Now a lot of them fall right off of me.

I’ve been logging food for years and pretracking a little but totally guessing the portion sizes. I found that weighing made a huge difference! Also, in the past I may have had a plan for the day but I would easily consume more treats if I felt like it. I had no real accountability.

Now I diligently pretrack and don’t go over my allotment. I hit my protein goal and stay at my calories. I used the guidelines and saw huge success both with the scale and non scale victories. Non scale includes the way my clothes fit, the way I stand and carry myself and overall self esteem. I was consistent the entire time and therefore I reaped the benefits.

I would restrict Monday-Thursday, then destroy any progress Friday-Sunday. It was an endless cycle because I would just overindulge on the weekends, causing weight gain.

I have a better concept of the nutritional value of foods and have become way more balanced in my choices. I prioritize things that I REALLY want. And use food for fuel!! I went on a weeklong vacation during the shred and still lost a pound that week. I noticed how mindful I was in preparation for the trip and during to set myself up for success!

I plateaued with weight watchers. While I had success before, it was really hard to lose the weight or see results after having my last baby. Macros changed your body composition and can see it working.
AFTER COUNTING MACROS WITH KELLY:
Better understanding of food and how it fuels and our bodies react. “There are no bad foods!” Also, making sure to pre-track and sticking to the plan works. My clothes are looser and can tell a difference in my body composition.
